Dark Dirt

For those of us in northern climates the thawing snow reveals a multitude of surprises. One of my least favorite is the gravel and stone dust from the driveway that the snowplow displaced on the lawn.

A New Tool for this Job

Other years I spent hours raking the gravel from the lawn but not this year. This year the job was much easier. I simply took out my Shop Vac. I may have given the neighbors something to talk about but it sure was a lot quicker and easier.

My only suggestion is that you ensure your gravel is as dry as possible to avoid clogging the hose.
